Vote by Mail

Election ballots are expected to be mailed out to voters by the second week in October at the latest.

Vote by mail applications were mailed to all voters in Newton in January which included an option to receive mail-in ballots for all 2025 elections. If you filled out that option and returned the application, a ballot will be mailed to your home.

If you haven’t previously filled out an application to receive a mail-in ballot, you can either stop in at the City Clerk’s Office on the first floor of City Hall at 1000 Commonwealth Avenue, or apply online here.

Completed and signed applications to vote by mail can be mailed to the Newton City Clerk’s Office (1000 Commonwealth Ave., Newton, MA 02459) or placed in one of the two secure drop boxes in front of City Hall.
