Early In-Person Voting at City Hall
Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 25 and 26 from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Monday, Oct. 27 from 8:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Tuesday, Oct. 28 from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Wednesday, Oct. 29 from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Vote by Mail
Election ballots are expected to be mailed out to voters by the second week in October at the latest.
Vote by mail applications were mailed to all voters in Newton in January which included an option to receive mail-in ballots for all 2025 elections. If you filled out that option and returned the application, a ballot will be mailed to your home.
If you haven’t previously filled out an application to receive a mail-in ballot, you can either stop in at the City Clerk’s Office on the first floor of City Hall at 1000 Commonwealth Avenue, or apply online here.
Completed and signed applications to vote by mail can be mailed to the Newton City Clerk’s Office (1000 Commonwealth Ave., Newton, MA 02459) or placed in one of the two secure drop boxes in front of City Hall.
Vote In-Person on Nov. 4
Polls across the City will be open on election day, Tuesday, Nov.4, from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Register to Vote
The deadline to register to vote in the Nov. 4 election is Saturday, Oct. 25 (10 days before the election). U.S. Citizens and legal residents of the City of Newton aged 18 on or before election day can register to vote online, by mail, or in person at the City Clerk's Office on the first floor of City Hall, 1000 Commonwealth Avenue.
